The retractable stock is what I just posted on, asking for advice on mounting on a Cetme. A number of the replies indicated it being metal, it would tear up my shoulder. I had already
ordered it, so it is on the way.

It is here now and mounted if you want to see it go to: http://www.militaryfirearm.com/Forum/showthread.php?22516-Rcvd-amp-mounted-G3-HK91-collapsible-stock-on-my-Cetme

They have called them "meat grinders" since I've been around here. I would still buy one just to have and try it myself but too many other things seem to take my spare cash in the gun hobby. They do look good and while not exactly "correct" on a CETME, if one wants a para look I would rather have it than an AR looking stock.
You can cover that metal with black tool dip or make/modify a pad to make it more comfortable to shoot. If and when I get one, that was my plan.

Granted I don't shoot a lot, but I've never had mine hurt me. If your rifle is a heavy recoiling monster you might have a problem. All but one of my Cetmes are kittycats.

The stock is metal but the buttpad is rubber it is just hard and has a meat tenderizer pattern. The Bill Springfield buffer kit is supposed to be a big improvement and you could always make a custom soft rubber butt pad for it.

Here is a link to what the rubber butt pad looks like:

I wish someone would sell an after market soft buttpad without the meat tenderizer pattern it looks like they would be really easy to make.

I've thought of making one of softer rubber. Easy to do, may yet get to that.... so many projects, so little time
