Hi, this is Linda Okie Shooters significant other. Walt, passed away Friday January 6th 2112. I thought I should post something here to let everyone here know why he will be absent from this board. He enjoyed this so much.

Thanks for letting us know that one of our own has passed, my hopes are that you are doing well, and a good man will be missed. This group of people is pretty special, so we take it personally when we lose a member. There are not many places on the net where you can feel as comfortable as here. This place reminds of the sitcom "Cheers" where everyone knows your name and they are always glad you came. We share in your loss, we grieve, and we carry you both in our prayers.

It feels odd to be choked up about someone I only "knew" on the internet. I only personally spoke with Walt a time or 2 but he will certainly be missed. I can only imagine how he impacted people that he knew in person.

Wow, just got back from vacation. This is terrible news. Linda, thanks for taking the time to let us know. I am so sorry for your loss, my prayers are for you and your family to get through this time. It is hard to think about now, but let's remember his life and the friendships he made. Oh my! Linda, I am just stunned by the news, how terribly sad. I never 'personally' met Walt but how many of his posts have I read here... building bigger and better bombs... : ) It truly is a family here and as everyone has stated, he will be sorely missed.
