7.62x51 Fabrica Nacional De Toledo

This is the pre NATO 7.62x51 made for the CETME Modelo B made by Fabrica Nacional De Toledo. It has corrosive primers.
There is lots of confusion about this ammunition being downloaded. It is in a way. The projectile is in the 120 grain range and a light charge of faster burning powder is used to keep the operating pressure high.

Apparetly there is special locking piece for this round. I have run it in a G3 and it was a trip. It felt like the gun was hooked up to an air compressor. The bolt and carrier just kept flopping back and forth but there was no sensation of recoil at all. Just the action moving. Almost no impulse. Tight newer guns may not run 100%.
I have never tried it through a gas gun. Though it seems that if the operating pressure is there they should run on it.
Recoil was very light through an Enfield 2A. It shot to point of aim at 100.
This is very rare ammo and fun to shoot.
