I had a thread saved on the old site that was how many posts equals which rank...
What is the breakdown for the new site, and how do you get it to display the rank along with the picture of the stripes and such.
Kinda stupid, but I always liked those rank things... I made Gunny over there, and I dont even know what my 2 stripes means now... Im no "rank buff" to know what all the different stuff means.

Hey, I should be an officer!
All my promotions come from:
* brown-noser comments
* pointless posts like this
* stating the obvious to people who know more than I

I want mine to say "Resident Dumbass" because I am broke and in debt because I spend all my money on guns ammo, and accessories for guns and/or ammo.

I was up there on the old site and did it without post whoring I don't expect I will get that high here just not much to say (and I have a job that actually has me working).
One of the things I liked about cetmerifles and how this place is looking right now is the quality in the posts not the quantity of the posts. Remember kiddies the rank here is just like the Army just cause your a General doesn't mean you know shit, but chances are it means you spewed plenty of it to get to where you are.

Sure, if you want a forum where people only stop by when they need info. I'd rather develope friendships and visit just to visit, when I might find somebody I can help.
This is just having some fun, the mods can delete it at any time (but check out the simular post at falfiles with 19,581 posts...yes nineteen thousand+), it makes those who aren't as well versed on the weapons still want to visit and participate, and that guy might know the answer to your next question ;)

I like an active forum also. Number of posts don't mean someone knows anything but it is fun to see how active someone is. Hey I got my first class my first night.

Yep, in celtic and germanic folklore, it is called a shield knot. It was painted on the shield as a defensive magic, a little additional 'mojo' to up the defense of the shield.
Don't laugh...the native americans invented a mojo shirt as proof against paleface bullets, called a "ghost shirt"...about 150yrs later, KEVLAR for bullet proof vests was invented in a lab not far from the site where the ghost shirt was manufactured.

Why would I do that? On the old forum we had several guys at the 4000 post mark. it'll come. The difference this time I wanted to seperate the wheat from the chaff, A guy with 1000 post shouldn't be on level with the guy with 4000.
We have only been open here since March. It'll come, I'm sure of it.

but when you already have been a NCO (E-6) or an officer ( 03) in real life, play rank does not mean much to me anyway........:wink:

Can I get mine set back to E7?
13 times and I still can't make E8, but at least only 51 out of 3900 made it this year. That's 1.3% for those who like math, which means in the organization I work for there are 3900 other E7's
Might as well enjoy it, the pay is not bad, and just think after 26 years I have maxed out any pay increases.

well really, there are only 3849 E7s not including the people promoted from E6...
In my fraction of the Army yes, that fraction we call active duty support of the Army Reserve or AGR. Most postions are set up as E7 because that's where a lot of the work is, those few read that about 350-500 E8 positions are darn hard to get.
