I took my (new to me) Mosin Nagant M44 out to the range this weekend. It shot great. I bought a tin of the Bulgarian light ball ammo to shoot through it. My M44 is a 1994 Ishy with a round receiver. It was in great shape with a clean bore. It kicked like a mule, but was very accurate out to 100 yards. I need to find a new range that has longer distances because I am sure this rifle is accurate out to farther ranges.:icon_biggrin:
The ammo head a 1952 headstamp and appeared to be in condition. I know others have found split cases and/or corrosion. No problems so far. The was sealed and let out a gush of air when I popped it open.
I'll try and take some evening photographs of the fireball it shoots out!!! I make have to wait a week or two for the bruise on my shoulder to go away. It was loads of fun though.
