I was looking on their sight this morning and saw that centerfire has complete CETME's. Century sheetmetal receivers and chrome lined barrels. That explains why towards the end of their kit sales (even before their "bottom of the barrel" declaration) that I paid for a hand picked kit and when I got it had a cracked forarm, and the cocking tube was tweeked and cracked beyond repair. They were saving all thier good ones for this. The flashhiders are not century so I think they got someone else to build them.

Do you mean to day that:

A) Century is selling CETME kits

or

B) Century is selling newly built CETMEs?

Either way, the chrome lined bore means US bbl, I'm betting.

It looks to me that Centerfire has newly built CETMEs on their website. Wonder if the monkeys at Century got this batch right??????????

OK. Sorry about the confusion. Centerfire has the guns. They have a birdcage FH so I assumed they were not from Century. I was wrong. I just called them and they are from CAI. I should have known better than to think that maybe someone else whould build them.:century:

I just bought one of CIA's later models from another dealer. Disassembled checked and cleaned today. Bolt 1.834, gap.013 needed cleaning but what's new. Plan to do a range visit early next week and will report on function.

Century on the later CETME's put flash hiders on the rifles over the muzzlebreaks. They switched parts out in the magazine to get thru compliance though. The base plates and followers I beleive were switched and the rifles were sold with g-3 mags modified magazines, a friend of mine got one of the later post ban rifles.
