Hello,
It seems that most of the Cetme's for sale lately have the black plastic furniture on them. If a person buys one of these and puts the surplus wood furniture on it how does that square with 922r / BATF etc?
Thanks,

Well, potentially you would have too many foriegn parts. You have to figure out what parts are foreign and then if you go over, make up the difference elsewhere.

No. The black furniture your talking about are three of the US parts you need. Which means you'll have to get three more somewhere else

Get a HK mag with US made follower and base plate. you would be good to go.

Under Battlerifles-->Cetme you will find a Cetme/HK FAQ. Rusty wrote a 922r compliance write up in there that will help.

But as everyone said above, if you change from US black plastic to imported Spanish Wood, you will need to come up with 2 more US parts.

I put some beautiful Spanish wood on my CETME, perfectly matched blonde set. Shoots very nice. HEAVY as heck! I like the heft of the plasti-crap stocks Century put on these. I like the slim forearm, etc. I would prefer an HK buttstock since the Century is prone to breaking but I put myself a swivel on it backed by some industrial grade plastic. The Century set is not high quality but I like the feel. Don't disown me guys.

I've never been able to get comfortable shooting with the slim forends. I like the G3 wide forends the best, and the G3 plastic butts...
