As an AK builder I figure every site that's devoted to military rifles and includes Builders needs to have a gallery of builds.
Ok I'll start this off. I've built several AKM's, an AK74,and an RPK, so as I photograph them I'll post a photo of my build:
The first is a Romanian G kit. I have a real weakness for these kits despite owning a zillion of them, I still want more.
<*sigh*>
Anyway this one was a standard Alumahyde II finish on the metal, while the wood is an extremely light
Minwax Oak stain with polyurethane over it. It's been slinging lead now for five months without any real problems.

The next one is a Romanian 1964 AKM kit "Missing Parts" From Century. I scavenged a set of handguards and a
wooden pistol grip as well as a recoil spring assembly. She doesn't headspace, but she can put some rounds downrange.
About 500 so far.

This rifle had a name, "Vali" cut into the pistol grip, so I call it Vali.
Do you have any photos of your builds?
