Anyone got any land for a Texas shootout? I know we had about 12 guys last time and I bet we could have more this time.

I sure hope I'll be able to go this year, it looked like a lot of fun.

Sorry guys. I didn't renew my lease that we held the last Shootout on. That was a sweet place! There was a member named Octavio or Octavious, something like that, on cetmerifles.com that was a lease member out there. Maybe he's still around??!

I think where Henry has posted maybe our best bet since we don't have any private property.

Henry, would there be any problem with a like number of shooters that we had last year, heck I might even make it to waco though.

Hey Henry, would there be any problem if we had a gun toting hotel shooting wild man with his hippie driver...in conjunction with roman candle shooting 6-year old kool-aid mustache having midnight trailer trash kids...along with cold beer swilling heavily armed gun nuts from across the south...along with a weekend supply of tannerite....along with a guy that mysteriously works at a government bomb factory...along with a frighteningly accurate Baylor Bear sniper and his giggily frat amigo?????

Just wondering.....

Not that THAT would happen...

THAT would be just CRAZY!!

Just wondering if THAT would be a problem?!??! ;)

my range is pretty laid back, but sorry longhorn, you can't camp there.

they shoot tannernite every now and then, they also allow machine guns. i think they had a machinegun shoot a while back

i think we'd just have to keep in mind that it's still a range open to the public... there's going to be much less space than the last one. you can plink, i've shot helium tanks(empty) and random stuff out there but i always cleaned up

if any of you guys have any questions about the range, i can ask the owner for you, or you can call 254 772 0000

7-25m pistol, 25/50/100/125/315/400m rifle, shotgun skeet ranges present

Oh I was just kidding...:icon_biggrin:

I was making light of the fact that our first Texas CETME Shootout was such an "event filled" weekend...:icon_biggrin:

That weekend was awsome....and if we get some private land, some one is getting woken up hung over....hippy style!!!

I second the idea of having the shoot in waco at Chandlers

i would take responsibility oh hosting it, but i'm well swamped with my club, school and work.
remember to call the owner before anyone wants to plan it.

honestly i still think chandler's gun range would be good for a planB... it's a nice range, but its still a lot more public than the one we went to last year.. private land would still be best... man i wish i were a rich doctor who owned 5000 acres of land out here with a fleet of 4x4's and an arsenal and shop that could compare to the Tula Arsenal.
