Here's my Century L1A1 that I fixed up a bit. I had to replace the springs, mag catch and polish the feed rails, but it runs great now. I added the Aussie wood and use a US mag to offset the wood parts.

Nice wood and I like the wooden carring handle. This is my Century FAL it was built on a August 1966 dated Aussie rifle. Built when I was in 1st grade ( It could have served in Vietnam) I have had great luck with it respectable groups and no mis- feeds. It is something I have wanted since I was about 13 years old. The rifle you saw in the Congo, Northern Ireland, Rhodesia and the Falklands. It was one of the best purchases I ever made.

Man, Now I can't wait until I get my DSA type 1 for my kit. The kit is refinshed in dark Parkerizing. I may Duracoat it, but after seeing your two in Park.. I don't know. They look pure business. Nice work you two!!!

I'v gotten a nice FMP G3 from this great seller and he also has some FAL kits he's selling as well as spare parts. His name is Nathan and I don't want to presume to post his email, but I will act as an intro for anyone interested. He gave me the following:
"I have 3 all matching numbers imbels with decent bores, some minor frosting/pitting at muzzle for $250 each and 1 sweet matching numbers STG for $450 also a few G1s with good bores for G1s but still show frosting and the handguards are of course beat to shit i may have some spares though, wood ranges from rough to rougher $265 then a bunch of lowers, uppers, inch wood , small parts and so on."

I got my stock off gunbroker. It was pretty ruff when I got it, but L1A1 wood can be hard to find.
I steamed out the dents and dings and stained it using a mix of walnut a few drops of red food coloring. I would have like to have gone with a lighter shade, but the wood had a lot of dark discoloration and going darker helps hide that. All in all I'm happy with it. Looks a lot better than the cheap looking black Century furniture it came with.

Both of these look like tough contenders. Great wood. You do nice work. So many guns, so little time and money.
