Grip Housing Shelf

Where can I buy the shelf which is welded into the grip housing (not the tigger box) to allow the fit to a semi-auto reciever? Or does anyone have the dimmensions of one so I can create one on the mill?

I have a PTR trigger assembly that I will use for compliance parts (4). Is it necessary to modify the grip frame with a shelf? A FA box would drop into the frame without a shelf but still couldn't attach to a SA receiver.

I could solder a shelf into the grip frame; it just seems unnecessary. Or is the shelf required to shim the trigger pack to the right height for functioning and ejection.

Also wondering what happens with the plastic Navy style grip.

I've used the PTR Navy model. Slipped right on. Easy as pie. The front pin holes are cosmetic only and the shelve is built in.
