My Century Arms C308 Sporter came with surplus HK91 furniture. The stock butt-pad (1st photo) had the appearance of rubber, but it felt like hard plastic to me (and my shoulder – ouch!). At the suggestion of another C308 owner, I got a Limbsaver slip-on pad (2nd photo). It felt great, but because of the sleeve, it moved around on my shoulder. So, today I received, and installed, a HK21 rubber pad (3rd photo). It’s a little wider, longer, and thicker, and the material seems to have a little more “give” than the HK91 pad. I hope to try it out in the next few days, and will post a follow-up after I do.

I bet you'll be happy with that pad, they have a good reputation.

OMG! The HK21 butt pad is sooo much better than the stock HK91 pad.

Is it? Cool. A lot better feel?

Than the standard HK91 butt "pad"? (and I put pad in quotes because even though mine appeared to be made out of a different material than the stock, it felt just as hard) Yes, a LOT better feel. I shot 75 rounds last week with the HK91 pad on the rifle and every single round hurt. I know I was tensing up and anticipating the recoil every time. My shoulder ached starting with the first shot, and then on for several days afterwards. Today I shot 60 rounds and my shoulder feels fine.
