My question has to do with the front sight protector on the Ishy 2A.
Shooting at 25 yards off a bench, I removed it in order to drift adjust the front sight.
Once the group was centered, I replaced the front sight protector and fired another group and the group was 4” off to the right.
I shot another couple of groups just to see if it would change and they stayed to the right but started to string vertically.
I again removed the front sight protector and looked at the muzzle end of the barrel and the front sight protector.
I noticed two small rub marks on the end of the barrel as well as on the inside of the front sight protector where the barrel passes through it, both at roughly 10 and 2 o’clock.
I then shot another group with out the front sight protector in place and this time it was back to centered and not strung vertically.
Is anyone else seeing any contact between the muzzle end of the barrel and the front sight protector?
I could easily remove the contact points with a file or a dremil tool but if this is how it should be I don’t want to mess it up.
