20) 20-round boxes. One box was opened to look at them. 1987 Date code.

This stuff is highly sought after. I know Henry wants some :)

Will trade 1:2 for Q3131, XM193 (non-PD), possibly some XM855 (non-PD)

PM me with proposals and can someone summarize briefly whats involved with non-businesses (like me) shipping ammo via common carriers?

Unfortunately, not what I was looking for.

Still Available

I'll keep it here until Monday-Tuesday before going to Falfiles and RifleCompany.com also.

As far as shipping ammo goes, just download and print some ORMD stickers to put on the box and it ships fine. Last time I shipped some the guy asked what it was and I told him ammo, he said OK and that was it. Might wanna ask with the PO first though just in case.Recently someone mailed me some ammo by usps and it had no markings on it for ORMD and I was shocked to see it. I was looking for a link but the one's I found were all old. I'll keep looking.

Thanks, I had read about the ORM or ORMD stickers somewhere, just wasn't sure if it entailed additional fees and which, if any, carriers didn't accept it at all.

Scratch the XM855 (non-PD) I found a source for some to see how it patterns in a 20" 1:9 barrel. Still interested in the other two though.

Thanks,

Okay, from the lack of responses, I'm either way off base or missing the right "target audience". So, I put it up on Falfiles also to see what kind of feedback I get.

Thanks for the lead Dave. What's more interesting is the 500 count loose pack Winchester stuff. If that is their government 5.56x45 surplus Q3131 type, I'd order it. If it's their commercial .223 I'd have to think about it more.

Got lots of inquiries from Falfiles, but nothing solid yet. Still waiting on some replies from a couple of the inquiries there.

Well, it claims to be Mil over runs. I've boght a ton of ammo from them when itls been on sale. Always been just what they claimed. (That;s why I got all that repack LOL they had the gerrn tip for 139 in a 720 box with the srtippers. So I got about 3000 round of it in 5.56 ammo boxes and packed in bandoliers. Shoots clean, but loud. And all Boxer primed. I did get a 500 round of the XM193 from Outdoor at a gun show last year. Very nice shooting.

I sent their customer service department an inquiry email as to the type that the Winchester bulk pack is.

Interest for trading was low. I traded a few boxes and have 16 left. $10 a box plus your choice of shipping.

Sorry, wasn't thinking. That's $10 per box shipped. Down to 10 boxes left.

Nice sale, man.

"summarize briefly whats involved with non-businesses (like me) shipping ammo via common carriers?"

Step 1-Put yor junk in the box
Step 2-Put some tape on the box
Step 3-Make 'em mail the box

(sorry, weird SNL reference here)

Ammo through the post office isn't allowed if I remember right.

I do beleive this is right, you can ship UPS but not Postal service.

UPS will take it at the Customer Care center. Fedex will take it if you set up an account (free) and they pick it up at your place of business. USPS is a No-No! I sold 16 boxes at $.50 a round and traded four boxes 2:1 for South African 5.56 55gr FMJ. The fellow I traded with boxed it up, taped it with green tape and sent it through the mail. When it arrived, I looked around me while picking it out of the mailbox to see if agents were going to swoop down on me and arrest me as an accomplice.

I emailed the guy and asked him what he thought he was doing!!!? :ranting: He said he does it all the time and personally doesn't care if he gets caught or not, "Since it's such a small amount, nobody really cares." I cared! I told him he has more balls than I do.

Weather has been wet and rainy every time I had an opportunity to get out and beautiful when I haven't, so I haven't had a chance to shoot the Q3131 or M1A2 (SA) stuff I got. Driving me crazy and no break in the rain until early next week.
