Anyone in Northern Virginia and like to shoot?
I'm currently in Fairfax, working at the P-gon and I like to shoot rifles, but the Only good place to shoot rifles is in Quantico
Anyone have any alternatives?

NRA Range...I went for the first time last week. I was only shooting handguns. I think max distance was 150.

You can shoot with me if you don't mind the drive, I am in Harrisonburg and have plenty of land and there are 3 ranges within a half hour drive if you want a formal range.

I usually shoot at NRA. Blue Ridge Arsenal has gotten too expensive. I belong to the Quantico Shooters Club, but don't get down there near enough. I'm also active with the Virginia Citizens Defense League (http://www.vcdl.org), politics-wise.

Zoom,
I heard about that little fire, that sucks man.
XO,
I would love to have you out to burn powder with me, that 1919 would make a good video, especially out to 400-600 yards.
All,
I would love to share my shooting area with any of the members here, and if you are one of the old school cetmerifles members, well you might get a steak as well.

Hey, just joined the forum. I live in Alexandria, VA. I don't get to shoot much, since I am stuck in the middle of occupied territory. I have heard of a range at the Cove campground near Gore, VA. Anyone been there?

i'm in Washington, D.C., Northwest region. i have to leave all my guns up in CT for the year (i'm at college there) but would love to be able to shoot on weekends when i'm doing nothing. i thought about going to Blue Ridge with some friends, but i cant because i dont have a shooting license, blah blah blah. less than a year away though to get my CCW.....

I live in Fairfax
Gilbert's Small Arms Range is where I shoot-- on 7100 near Fort Belvoir, you need to be a member to shoot there but monthly membership costs 10 bucks, annual 195
NRA Range on Route 66 is alos a good range but spendy
I also shoot down with the Quantico Gun Club

:2pistol:I'm in Alexandria off Little River Turnpike. I have been to Blue Ridge and Gilbert (Sharp Shooters now). I have heard a rumour that there is a skeet range out toward Dullis but i'm not sure if there is or not.
NRA is ok but not the type of place I like to shoot. They are just to touchy.
I haven't been to Quantico but I will check it out. from what I understand there are some decent places back in the mountains but you have to drive for them.
Did any of you guys know there was a range under the Capital? I went there to qualify when I was in the Coast Guard. Pretty nuts.
I have a large farm In Beaver Dam, NC that I shoot on all the time. I have a pistol range set up and a few different rifle ranges. One is across a corn field a 550 yards.
I wish it was close enough that we could all get down there together.
