Can anyone remind me of the correct tap and set screw size for the hole in the back of a stamped Century CETME receiver?

I don't recall any threaded holes on a CETME or G3. On the G3, there is a drum sight base. On the CETME it the paddle sight. The CETME sight take a spring and two small bering detents. The only other "Holes" are the buttstock retention pin holes, the mag release button and none of those are threaded... Century receivers don't even have the barrel pin hole drilled and a FAC receiver does'nt use a single pin, but 2 drilled through the receiver & trunion. The JLD is HK spec and it also has no tapped holes.

There was a post on the old board on a method of locating and drilling the barrel pin hole, but I didn't save it, because like everybody else I never dreamed a hacker would attack the board and destroy it. Hopefully somebody has the info and will repost it.

I can tell you it just about wouldn't matter with Century. I lined it up where it was supposed to be and was the width of the pin off. My receiver was longer than my trunnion instead of flush like most. Look in the above link and see "B" .
Also, I bought a partial kit that had the trunnion and cocking tube and got more info from that than anything. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info on the pin hole placement. I also went and bought the front barrel assembley from apex guns for a good price and that helped solve the problem. Someone sure needs to contact centry arm concerning this receiver because it is out of spec bad. At this point i have almost completly remachined the thing just to get rifle to work .
