As I understand it, and correct me if I'm wrong. But for the CETME, you just need to cut the 3rd pin hole out and put the shelf in like the pic shows right? There aren't any new holes to drill correct?

Cool , that's what I thought. I bought the AGI Building a G3 tape and they said to do that with the G3 but since I CETME trigger box is different That it wouldn't need to be done.:thanks:

I don't know about a pin system. The cut-out and shelf also permanently make it where the FA parts cannot go back in.

In a round about way, I think what you want is a "pinned and clipped" trigger housing. I had mine done by Mark Galla. Some of the members can get you in touch with him.

Here's the deal on the trigger housing mods:

1. The CETEME/G3 trigger packs are removed from the trigger housing by moving the safety selector to 12 o'clock, removing it, and extracting the trigger pack.

2. CETME/G3 trigger packs are internally very different and so conversion to SA only should be undertaken by someone familiar with the differences.

3. The CETME/G3 trigger pack mods are essentially the same. That includes the notching of the trigger pack and the adding of a shelf to preclude installation of a FA trigger pack.

4. The pivot pin ears on the trigger group are not ground off. Instead, the pivlot pin is cutoff and the ends brazed into the ears. The space between the ears has to be opened up slightly so that the modified trigger housing fits the receiver.

5. At the time you convert the trigger housing to semi-auto only, it would be a good idea to add the flapper magazine catch. This is a perfectly legal modification because the magazine release is held in by a blind, welded pin. This means that the FA trigger housing cannot be fitted and the gun cannot be converted.

6. CETME safety selector positions are; T (semi), S (safe), R (auto); G3 safety selector positions are: S (safe), E (semi), F (auto). This means that the internals of the CETME/G3 trigger packs are different to accomodate the different selector positions.
