what's the thread size on the front sight set screw??

It appears to be 4x.5mm! I hope you can find that! My tap set doesn't have that size so it's def. not something common. (I just measured with calipers and a thread gauge =.153"x.5mm)
on a side note though, does your cetme have a little piece of brass as a shim between the set screw and the sight, I was just wondering if this was normal, my guns apart right now refinishing it (among other problems I fixed from cai that required refinishing now that it's fixed), and I managed to lose that little piece of brass:wallbash: ... haven't put it back together but figured it was a good idea to replace.

Threads are usually a few thousandths under nominal.

I guess I should have said that, I was giving what it actually measured though, not what 4mm was in inches, just as an explanation as to how I got the size.
