I have a C308 and the trigger is the CETME style. I'd like to do my own trigger job but I can't find any procedures anywhere. I found the ones for the HK style. totally different. Please help

You don't see any tutorials on them because the original Cetme FCG design is primitive at best and can easily become a safety nightmare. Even something as simple as taking one leg of the hammer spring off the top of the disconnector can cut trigger pull some but usually results in double-taps or worse. I've had some luck stoning mating surfaces to square them up to each other and smooth them out but they will never be great. I got a pretty nice (for a Cetme) trigger on my PSG1ish and bullpup but switched many of my other Cetmes over to HK trigger packs and safeties. HK packs have the advantage of using a sear and having an aftermarket light weight elbow spring available.

Here's a post I made in 2011 showing the functions of the Cetme FCG: http://www.militaryfirearm.com/Forum/showthread.php?19547-Understanding-the-Cetme-trigger-pack&highlight=understanding+cetme+trigger+pack

by comparison, check out the thread on the HK trigger pack function: http://www.militaryfirearm.com/Forum/showthread.php?21704-Understanding-the-HK-trigger-pack&highlight=understanding+trigger+pack

so what's the cheapest I can get an HK fcg? and where? HK parts seems pretty pricy. and if I do, do I need to get a new safety lever?

Do your own search for best price, Here's one from Apex: https://www.apexgunparts.com/h-k-g3-trigger-assembly-select-fire-black-grip.html

Black Friday isn't that far off, most have sales. And yes, you need the HK safety with the HK pack.

Don't forget, the HK pack will need to be covered to semi auto too.

This is the cheapest base start.

These are $10 higher than about 6 months ago though.

is there a FCG trigger pack assembly that will fit my c308 navy plastic housing? is there a box I can get to build my own?

The HK pack fits inside either the plastic or metal lower but the plastic lower requires a longer safety lever in order to reach all the way through to the other side.
