does the 922r law apply to the mg42 builds , wich i believe it does now,and what is the breakdown of the parts , how many us parts do i need to make it legal, it is all so confusing hope someone can help

It was ruled at first it needed to be 922 compliant. Then I believe wiselite got a letter saying it was a firearm but not a rifle, thus not needing to meet the requirements. Check out the mg42.us board. There's a thread on it over there.

Yeah thats a weird one... First a firearm, then a rifle... BRP make "firearms" everyone else makes rifles... I am not even sure at this point.

I picked up a set of Tanker's grips and am getting a US made buttstock. I like the looks of it plus I get in on the parts count whether I need it or not.
