got a new-to-me cetme sporter;priced right and looked decent.after arrival, stocks looked rough and thought wood would look better.it IS a CETME sporter,so found wood set on cheaper than dirt (PITA to install),and decided to refinish.stripped, glass beaded & made ready, used Brownell's Alumahyde as directed.came out pretty well,no thick spots or so i thought.reassembling is now a MAJOR job-back plate tighter than i think it should be & same for trigger housing.ground the back plate to finally fit,but trigger frame is still tight.is grinding the receiver or the trigger frame a better idea?don't want to trash the rifle after waiting for a long time to get one.any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like you only need to remove the paint build up in the areas of interference and the lower housing doesn't make much contact with the receiver. I'd start with the inside of the lower housing where it slips over the magazine block.
