Need some help to ID these bullets. Bought a bag of 50 and think they might be Black Talon, but not sure. The store i found them in has lots of lost stuff in nooks and crannies all over the place. These will be loaded in the Ruger GP-100 with a 6" barrel, so I might load them a little hot. :)

I agree, great bullet. If I am wrong and that is not it, then it is really close.

Yep. I'd call it Black Talon as well.

they mic out to 9.00mm at the base and 16.70 long. random sample of 5 pulled out of the bag. This guy has apparently lost all kinds of stuff in his shop and I keep digging around and finding it. Every time I go in there I come out with stuff he didn't know he still had. Next time I go I will be spending a while and looking everywhere to see what he has lost.

The bullet diameter is 9mm at the base(.354"). Don't have access to the scale at the moment but it is just a hair longer that a 145 silvertip 357.

Black Talons!
Not armor piercing contrary to popular belief
Although they are good for Self Defense. The "petals" are especially jagged, and create a lot of internal damage.

A forumite on the old site, a LEO called "Sheriff" said in his experiments the stuff would go thru a IIA duty vest, because jags would clip the layers of kevlar.
Still, that's thrid party info, so YMMV.
