Just got my CMP Underwood this morning. It looks great and will just require a bit of cleaning. Pics just out of the box attached.

that takes .30 Carbine ammo right? how hard is that stuff to find?

30 carbine ammo is still easy to get, and hasn't gone through the roof like other calibers. Wolf works fine in mine. Winchester white box and other brands are available.

Order sent on 8/30 so just about 1.5 months. Underwoods are all sold out but Winchesters are up next(Jan 2008). Don't forget Garands also!

My dad got one of the Inlands and was real pleased with the condition. If I hadn't acquired the parts to build two, I'd be all over the CMP.

Ypu'll enjoy the carbine alot; make sure to purchase plenty of ammo cuz you'll be shooting it like it was a .22
