Hey guys, while at the range with the suppressed CETME, got some video of the Walther with its can. was shooting a lil messy since it had just been cleaned, so thats the gasses you see when its suppressed.

Enjoy,

what's the benefit, if any, of going with the 63 refit rather than the 65? is it interchangeable with 223 or something? quieter?

better baffles and able to be taken apart by user easier.

kewl... whats the price difference. I was looking at the Tac65, but being able to easily disassemble sounds like a good feature if the price is right.

I plan on getting a 22 supressor and getting my G22 threaded so I can swap it back and forth from the P22 to the G22.... probably something I'll sink my teeth into next summer.

TAC 65 is worth it. The TAC 63 Refit was the same price, is essencially the same as teh 65 by what I can tell. I paid 250 +Stamp for mine.

When the Walther P22 first came out I purchased 2 of these, one for myself and one for my brother for his birthday. My brother's went back 3 times to the factory for repairs within the first 30 days. Mine went back twice within the same time period. Failure to feed, failure to eject, failure to fire... the safety lever on mine fell off during the first magazine... I already had an ugly taste for S&W in my mouth and their customer service didn't improve my impression of them.

I bought my brother a 2nd gen. Colt Woodsman Sport to replace his. I pawned off both guns, factory fresh from repair and still broken, for a Hammerli at a gunshow.

Suppressors are fun. But my experiences with that gun and the mfg are terrible. I won't have another new Walther or S&W. I would find another make to screw that can onto. I'm leaning towards the new sig, myself.

Also, if the long haired fellow would use sub-sonic ammo, instead of hi-velocity, the report would be pretty much just the sound of the action and plink of the primer and shell hitting the ground...

note the report of this p22...

trigger...

The first Gen P22's were in fact crap. They have redone the whole thing and the pistols are now a really nice 22 and have almost ZERO functioning problems. I understand if youve just got a bad taste in your mouth about them, but you might give em another try. I can pop off 10 roudns as fast as you can pull the trigger all day every day, and with all but 1 brand (remington golden bullet stuff), I can say I've only had a couple jams, and thats pretty good for a 22.

That is sub sonic ammo mate. CCI Subsonic 1050 FPS 40 Grain HP's. As to the quality, feeding it this ammo (not remington gold box), I have had not a single issue.

I could just have a more recent manufacture firearm however, could be the early ones had more issues.

Also, the indoors makes it sound a bit louder, as does the metal trap at the end of the range. Shooting it outdoors is quite a bit quieter.

E, maybe just the way the video was shot, sounds louder than my knightforce on my .45 USP Tactical. I've only had the Tac and a Highstandard .22 suppressed, the HS was a whisper quiet .22. The Tactical is a "pop", due to the primer being most of the noise.

JFowl-- 2 guns 5 times to repair... the first time they didn't even reinstall the extractor I'd included in the box. They sent me back the gun with "Failure to Extract", with the extractor laying in the box with a couple of new magazines they sent back, like that would fix the problem... Nope, 5 times I've delt with their customer service...

I can deal with a few kinks on a new product, but if there aren't people there to stand behind it, "blank" them, never again.

And I'm not a bitchy customer. Let me tell you about Sig Sauer and the New Hammerli Trailside. Year was about 1998-99, I bought one of the first 4" standards that hit my dealer. The Nickel flaked off the inside of the slide and was causing a few issues; pieces of the platting were jamming up the slide. I sent it back for repair. 4 days later I get a call, seems the steel they got from a former eastern block was not up to par, they were so sorry. Would I like a full refund? or would I prefer a replacement of their new (to be released that month), 6" target model at no additional charge?
3 weeks after I received the new gun they called me again to make certain it was functioning well. I sold my Model 41 shortly thereafter. the New Hammerli just kicked its butt.

Armalite on their M15a4(t), had an issue with their subcontractor's foregrip. Not a problem, send it back. Fixed right the first time in 15 days.

No worries mate. Theres not alot to compare it to aside from itself in the two videos. More will be forthcoming hopefully with a better audio spike. Also trying to track down a cheap decible metre.

who made the knightforce?

sound on a video is not a good indicator of the actual dB level of a can.

do you shoot the 45 can wet?

Knight's Tactical. You can shoot it wet or dry, but wet is most deadening. I picked the 45 to suppress because the ammo is already subsonic.

Yeah, my .22 can is a dry only can, so not as quiet as a wet can in general. But works well enough for me ^^

you can add water to your can ask to mfg if it will hurt it I am betting the answer will be that it is fine you just add a small ammount don't try to fill the can with liquid
