:newbie: here. After that post about U.S. made magazines I went to the list and started counting. After the mags, a muzzle break and charging handle, that I will fabricate, the only thing that would be necessary initially is a pistol grip. I can find lots of PSG1 type HSLD* grips. Is anyone making a Plain Jane standard replacement grip, synthetic or wood?

:thanks: (*High Speed Low Drag)

I'm looking for one too... there are so many surplus G3 grips that I don't think anyone has ever gone through the trouble of making one and selling it. Maybe I'll carve my own out of a chunk of some sort of hardwood. :icon_mrgreen:

How about this one from PTR?

Yeah, PTR sells a us made one. Century makes one, good luck finding one tho. They use them all on their CETME and G3 builds... Make sure you read the description on the PTR's. They sell both the import and the US made... Just FYI. I do have three of their stock sets. Very nice and close to HK.. I found Sarco Inc sells them together as a package for 48.00, direct from PTR is more expensive. They only make them in black...

Vista461,

Thanks, Looks like the ticket.

Seattlefungus,

I will check them out. Thanks.

Now the next question. The pistol grip looks like a straight swap for the PTR91 grip. What about the steps to use the PTR91 Butt Stock and fore end on the CETME?

Grip was US made, if you can track down a parts kit from Tapco or somesuch, you can get one.

I ordered a stock and pistol grip set from CFS but only the stock came, apparently they are out of pistol grips, so now I need to see what they are going to do about that.

Check out centerfire systems anyway they were the only place I could find these for a reasonable price, you can get the cocking lever from black market parts and a magazine with 2 compliance parts and a us muzzle brake from FAC

Careful on FAC orders, FAC Got themselfs in money problems and Century bought them. I have ordered FAC US Muzzle device and gottel G3 takeoff parts.. Just FYI... Same with Hesse parts too from FAC. On the question on the part to convert on a PTR91 Buttstock to work with a CETME, If it comes with the HK91 metal, just round down the white nylon bushing at the top of the recoil spring. Alot of the sets don't come with the metal. You might have to round the buffer recess to make CETME metal work. It might be cheaper/easier to buy the Cheaper than Dirt G3 stock set and use the HK/FMP metal. It Works fine. And while the PTR91 has a HK type sling mount on the butt. The Century/Tapco butstock does not come with any sling mounts. I've seen some use the threaded screw type and just screw it into the butt. Looks kinda tacky....
