Not being from the area, nor having ever been there, I just can't wrap my mind around how these fires burn and destroy so many homes each year, the closest I can get to it is people around here who live on flood plains. And I think they are wacky for rebuilding every year.

Anyway....here's an interesting pic from the fires...I'd hate/love to be the neighbor who's house made it....

There is something funny about that pic.

Maybe photoshop, maybe not.

The houses are burnt, but NOTHING around it seems to be burnt, nor show any signs of dirty-ness.

dunno if the house in that pic is genuine or not, but theres a product called NO BURN out there that promises to be able to withstand a 3500 degree fire.... if that house happens to be painted with it, then this may just be the worlds best advertising
