I know on the old forum, one of the neatest things was the tightness of the group. Guys would even post their personal problems, and the board worked as a sort of support group for the different things.

I was wondering how much trouble it would create to either make a prayer request sticky, or a prayer request forum.

It may be something thats just too politically incorrect, but when I started thinking about it, it sounded like a really good idea. I dont know how feasible it would be in todays world, but I figured it was worth asking.

Since when has this fourm been politically correct, the power of friendship and the group we have here seem to say this wouldnt be such a bad idea at all.

Ok edit to get rid of the above double negitive,

this would be a good idea!

Hel, I ain't even a christian, I'm a heathen, but the power of prayer/blessings,positive thought, whatever--seems to help out. Tough to explain, but easy to observe the good resuts.

Cool by me, I've had some tough times, as have we all.

I think that would be a great idea.

Prayer is a powerful thing, and having a group of prayer warriors all sending up prayer concerns for whatever problems any one of us may be facing is awesome!

Im with steelcore here. Also not christian, pretty solidly pagan, but well wishes are always appreciated. Can be very very nice some days to know that *somebody* gives a shit. Whatever form that takes. I may not agree in faith with a few of my friends that sometimes say they pray for me, or the random person here in the south that hears your having a bad day and says they will, but its nice to know that they care, at least some, about trying to do what they can to help someone out.

Heh, course, my blessings on people sometimes freak them out, so I tend to be non specific these days.

This is not a bad idea at all, not only does the power of prayer work,
but like others have said, sometimes it helps to know someone might
actually give a darn.

Sounds like a good idea to me. As you guys know,I have asked for your prayers on a couple of occasions. I will always be grateful for the responses you gave. I will run it by Tanker when he gets back.

I think this is a really good idia.I'm a christian, and thats very politicaly incorrect. All I know is that the God thing works for me.Me on my own does'nt. I would love to pray for specific things for a bunch of like minded guys.

Being a Christian I am all for the idea. Many gun sites have forums for such things. Remember God , Gun,s and Gut's built this country.

You are in good company when you find a place where folks with different religious preferences can get along and accept each others ideas. Prayer is not soley a christian thing, I am of the thought that prayer in most any form fills a need and is beneficial in some way.

Yep pretty good company...

There's correct and then there's politically correct. I prefer the former to the later.
I still have my Gideon's pocket bible from the Army. Stayed in my thigh pocket in jump school just in case. Made me feel comfortable.

I have no problems with this...as k98 pointed out, I've also been the recipient of your prayers and have been blessed with all your company.

-->Heehee. Yeah, I've learned NOT to name the divinities...for some one god may be enough. I have need of many! (Plus, EVERYONE needs a few war gods!:g3:  )

Gods, guns, and guts indeed.

Great idea...sometimes we all need a little help. Just for our information here there has been numerous scientific studies of different groups, some with prayer, some without, and the ones with prayer, even without the recipients knowledge usually did better than those without. Call it whatever you will, but positive thoughts can and do work.

I consider myself Native American and could give a ding dong about church doctrine...The feeling of community IS the essence of spirituality.
I must say I could not be more impressed with this community!

To ALL the warriors, many thanks, be safe and good hunting!

But it's very refreshing to see a group of people so open, I am a Christian myself and usually in America a question like this is viewed as, "how dare you push you religion on me!" I'm just glad to see that even though something isn't your personal view that there a still a few good people left that realize every one is from a different walk of life. That being said I'm all for this idea!!! :America:

I have allready posted I am in favor but the more responses I see from Christians the lighter my heart feels. Just more proof Jesus lives in us and is happy with our actions.
