Theres always the model b52 with jet engines, but the x1 plus the pilot bailing out is interesting.

I want to know how many servos are on that plane, I guess one for each engine, or possible one for each set of engines, 2 for aelerons?, 1 for the landing gear, 1 for the pilots, and one for the x-1. I could be waaay off.

There was a guy who made a C-130, I used to have a pic, but I don't think he flew it, he was afraid it would crash.

These are much more affordable, about $20 in parts plus radio and servos and motor.

I've built and flown several of these and you can laugh when you crash them.

I think thats the one, There have been more than one built, one used ducted fans rather than turbojets, the other used real turbojet engines. I searched for webpages on it and found this one which lists one of the videos as the crash.

Heres a link to a unoffical page

http://www.mcgirt.net/RC/VIDEOS/Giant_B52/

here are links to video, warning large video files
http://www.mcgirt.net/RC/VIDEOS/Giant_B52/B52_Flight_1.wmv
http://www.mcgirt.net/RC/VIDEOS/Giant_B52/B52_Takeoff.wmv
http://www.mcgirt.net/RC/VIDEOS/Giant_B52/B52_flight2.wmv
http://www.mcgirt.net/RC/VIDEOS/Giant_B52/b52crash.mpeg

Ironically its easier to build a turbine engine than a piston powered one that small in some ways, atleast there is only one moving part on a turbine engine.

Heres a link to a webpage showing a c-130 flying model plus many more, ironicaly in USCG colors too. Look how many folks it takes to fly these multi engined things.

That's not the one but it's cool, Thats a "J" model 130, the one I saw was a "H" made years ago by a Coastie in Kodiak. Lots of spare time on his hands up there.
Cool website.

Ya I knew those guys were in england, but though you might get a kick out of the fact they were flying a USCG model.
