A workmate in Michigan is going to send me a bow to practice with!! I haven't shot one in 20+ years. He's sending a Fred Bear 50# recurve Kodiak Magnum. I'm looking forward to it as I have an indoor bow range in town. I will be able to see if it is something I would be interested to do.

The rest of his bows are all made by hand in Montana and range from 75-94 lb pulls. They are beautiful and expensive. Shit.....I wouldn't be able to pull them back.

I will get to have it until July..........I'm excited!

Power to the people...Kill Whitey.....Down with BOBO.....BLAH....Blah...blah...

Man...I'll tell you that my photo boss shoots a Mathew's SoloCam compound. That SOB is INCREDIBLE! Imagine a bow about 2 ft. less in length. I wish I could remember the name of the bow maker. There is a site.

The guy that's sending the bow has stated that with his heavy bows, there in nooooo picking a shot. You either shoot or you don't. I find it funny.....He waits until the last day of deer season to take a shot. There's an old saying, "Part time hunter......full time deer". He will stalk 1 deer the whole season and use 1 arrow the last day or 2.

I just want to shoot hay for now.....LOL!

Fido, I want to be around when the next guys that vandalize your truck gets a broadhead in the butt instead of a load of buckshot. I wonder what the Texas laws are on that. I can just see you trying to explain it to the officer (LOL) At least if he got away, he would be easy to find. I mean, how many arrows in the ass has an ER surgeon seen?

Nice bow! I have a 45# Bear recurve, and a handmade 65# longbow I traded an M1 carbine for years ago. Haven't shot much lately, but I enjoyed it when I did.

With the quacks that may be in the White House soon. Bows may be the weapon of the future.

I still shoot my 50# Ben Pearson recurve from time to time.
I came very close to getting a Bear Magnum at one time

its a #45 or #50, had it since about 6th grade, shot outdoors, indoors, broadhead shoots (fun action!), hunted, etc. Still have it, 20+yrs later. Shot it last in about 2003, the limbs hadn't stiffened or delaminated....Bear makes fine recurve bows!

Also have a PSE vulvan hunter compound, which is fun but takes alotta the guesswork outta shooting bow. well, at least out to 60-80yds.

My dad shot tourneys, and he's robin-hooded a few arrows (aluminum) in his career. He's also bagged one deer and one boar with a recurve and brodhead. (I got nuthin' with bow, it just gives me something to hold in the treestand!)

Enjoy one of the oldest missile weapons known to man!
