I'm on Xbox 360, and yeah, this game ROCKS!!!!!! It also available for PC, so I would recommend this to anyone who likes shooter games. My gamertag is ace522, just like my username.

i almost wish i had a 360 just because so many ppl have it, but the blue ray player and 15 free blue ray movies, plus 10% off, plus im a die hard PS fan sold me on the system :)

and it is sharp. The onluy thing I donn't like about it vs. COD3 is that in COD3, you can have up to 4 players on the same console logged into the net, and COD4 only lets one person on per console. That is a PITA since with COD3, we'd play 2-4 players and be able to coordinate small unit tactics (especially handy in capture the flag games).
The weapons are OK, but I mist admit I love the COD3 weapons....the BAR was the schiznit!

Ya know, I have enjoyed the CoD games but I really couldn't get in to this one. My biggest complaint has always been that the CoD games are so heavily scripted. (IE. Run here via this specific route, complete task, now run here via this route, complete the next route, etc...) This release seems to be even more heavily scripted.
Now any of the Ubisoft games are pretty much automatic winners! I also prefer the Medal of Honor games.

I think what most ppl here are talking abt is usinng them to play each other on the intarwebz, not play the campaigns. There is no scripting in the intawebz pick-up games, only the location and some game opttions are set....it is freeform play.

the thing i love about call of duty is getting to aim with the iron sights.
aiming is the coolest thing and makes it so much more realistic!

nah i wish they all, well most, had red dots, after i got a red dot on my M249 it got ALOT better, you also get 250 pts for taking out the enemy chopper a few times that strafes your butt heh. i never could get into any of the COD WWII games, but this one is intense and visually awesome as well.

I downloaded the demo for computer. It's a really sweet game. I LOVE the G3 in the game.

Well that changes everything!

Oh, yeah! Gunning fritz at 300M with single aimed shots with the BAR is just...priceless.

I miss our COD games, but I like 1 better then 2, I stick with the PC, I think I'm getting 4 for my birthday.

I played the demo. I like it so far. Actually runs better on my PC that Battlefield2 does. Looks 10x better.

Yeah, that's always bugged me too. I've always had a tendency to go wherever I felt and in the Call of Duty games I played that always caused problems, either from the minefields or from me not tripping the next event.
I know I've played some first person shooters that didn't suffer from this, but it's been so long I can't even remember their names anymore.

I'll have to check out the red orchestra, where did you guys find the demo for COD4 without joining someplace?

I am looking into getting either COD4, or Gears of War. Any of you with experience with GOW and could give me a comparison?

Gears of War is a pretty good game, but I personally like more "realistic" games like CoD or RO. I played CoD single player and multiplayer for years after I bought it, I stopped playing Gears of War after a month or so.
Gears of War is kinda like a Sci-Fi third-person version Brothers in Arms or Full Spectrum Warrior (i.e. fire and maneuver, use of cover, squad tactics, etc) except with a little more shoot-em-up and not quite as much room for strategy or maneuvering. but it is really well done, has good graphics and gameplay

I don't want to hijack this posting but seemed like a good place to put it. I want to buy one of the new gaming systems but don't know which way to go. Any questions or commits?

I personally like the 360 better
better controls, and a bit cheaper. performance wise, they are roughly the same. some Xbox 360 games look and perform better than the PS3 versions, and vice versa, but its generally only a marginal difference.
there are some games that come only on one system or the other (like Halo 3 for xbox 360), and I usually like the xbox360-exclusive games better than the PS3-exclusive games

i personally prefer the playstation 3. Though i considered 360. The PS has the best/easiest controller design ever made IMO, hence why it hasnt changed too much since the PS1 way back when, why my dad can play it, and why they make adapters to use the PS style controller for the Xbox :P. The Ps3 also comes with a Blu Ray disk player, and mine came with 15 free blu rays (usuallly $25-30), which is the format that is currently better than and beating HD.... which you have to pay extra to get the player for on the 360. A Blu Ray player alone costs as much as the PS3. So if youre not in it for movies or dont think you will be in the future i could understand that. Ohnestly the only thing the Xbox has going for it is its price (which is for a reason) and most ppl i know have it vs the PS3 so playing online with ppl you know is scarce. other than that like hunter said they are very similar
