Its worth $150 no doubt, I almost bought another today myself. Seems the Norinco's are all over the place right now.

That is a great looking rifle for a fair price. From the grenade laucher I would asume it is a Yugo 59/66. However, the stock looks Chinese with that glossy orangish finish but it could be a refinished Yugo stock. I assume that is a thirty round mag. Some of those high cap mags are only semi-removable and are really meant to be top loaded. Is that how yours is or can you just pop it in and out like an AK mag?

yeah I was thinking the same thing, it looks a lot like the stock on mine and my bro's Norincos. but I'm no SKS expert so who knows?

Depends on how it shoots. If it were mine and started jamming. I would slap a factory mag back in. I like the originals myself.

As said b4 iff you have feed issues, get that factory mag on there. I do prefer them...also I think the area gets a little grey with 922r with C&R rifles if you start swapping on non-stock parts...

That stock does look a bit diff than my Yugo 59/66 stock.

Check to see if yout flip-up night sights still have live tritium in them. Mine did!

Guessing its a yugo refinish, as it has the launcher butt pad on it, that would have to be transfered along with the fact most chinese stocks werent inlet for blade bayonets(though there were some which I need to try to get my hands on one some day)

I agree get a 10 rd mag for them, they aint hard to find at any gunshow, or to order on line. My yugo came with a 30 rounder, I put the first one I found which I think was a chinese 10 rd in.

Ummm, a c&r converted to a detatchable mag rifle?
Ummm, would this need a compliace kit because it was imported as a c&r and it has now changed configureation? 922r?

922 (r)
The Imported Parts Law(1990)
178.39 otherwise known as 922(r) 10 Foreign parts law on semiauto Rifles & Shotguns
http://www.atf.treas.gov/regulations/27cfr178.html
Sec. 178.39 Assembly of semiautomatic rifles or shotguns.
(a) No person shall assemble a semiautomatic rifle or any shotgun using more than 10 of the imported parts listed in paragraph (c) of this section if the assembled firearm is prohibited from importation under section 925(d)(3) as not being particularly suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes.
(b) The provisions of this section shall not apply to:
(1) The assembly of such rifle or shotgun for sale or distribution by a licensed manufacturer to the United States or any department or agency thereof or to any State or any department, agency, or political subdivision thereof; or
(2) The assembly of such rifle or shotgun for the purposes of testing or experimentation authorized by the Director under the provisions of Sec. 178.151; or
(3) The repair of any rifle or shotgun which had been imported into or assembled in the United States prior to November 30, 1990, or the replacement of any part of such firearm.
(c) For purposes of this section, the term imported parts are:
(1) Frames, receivers, receiver castings, forgings or stampings
(2) Barrels
(3) Barrel extensions
(4) Mounting blocks (trunions)
(5) Muzzle attachments
(6) Bolts
(7) Bolt carriers
(8) Operating rods
(9) Gas pistons
(10) Trigger housings
(11) Triggers
(12) Hammers
(13) Sears
(14) Disconnectors
(15) Buttstocks
(16) Pistol grips
(17) Forearms, handguards
(18) Magazine bodies
(19) Followers
(20) Floorplates

The Yugo SKS was importable only because it is a C&R. Otherwise it would violate 922r and not be importable unless it has no more than 10 of the above listed imported parts. It is illegal to convert a Yugo SKS into a non importable configuration per letters received by several members of a couple of different online SKS forums. The BATF references 922r as the reason for the conversions being illegal.
Start counting!:tinhat:
I'm thinking that stock is an American made replacement, as well as your pistons and trigger stuff, good job! Looks great.

Those american parts look great:America: I need a link to get some too!
Err, sorry, I didn't mean to be so harsh and obvious. I'll use a bit of cooth next time or an IM.
I just wanted to not incourage "mistakes" but i was wrong... It is American made stuff and I'm an ass:icon_neutral:

I thought changing the configuration of a C&R firearm only matters if you buy it w/ your license. Otherwise it is just a FFL purchase. Did I miss something. Did the guy buy it C&R or do I need to go back and read the giant books the ATF sent me.
