You'd be better off being a policeman.

That is a post 86 gun.

(that's why it is so cheap)

Would you mind expanding your explanation a bit for those of us who are a little slow on the uptake (why is a post 86 gun cheaper/). Thanks.

There are no more new automatic weapons made for the general population since 86. Thus the ones made after 86 were made for law enforcement agencies, or are called dealer samples that are still intended for law enforcement sales. Thus the number of fully automatic weapons is set, and thats why a transferable weapon has far more value than one made that can actually only be owned by a law enforcement agency(when you transfer to a leo, a post gun its technically the departments, not the officers, thus when he quits the force the gun is supposed to stay with the department) A while back you could get a fully auto cetme for under three hundred dollars as a law enforcement firearm.

A pre 1986 transferable G3 in that condition would easily bring $15,000.

Easily.

you cant own it because you "have the right to bear arms" if you where a piece of sh?t criminal you could get one and do as you please assuming you dont get caught!

It's too perrty, and you won't need to rebuild it.
And it probably doesn't shoot two feet to the left...
What the heck would you do with it?

its a post sample MG
available only to liscensed MG dealers, and manufacturers that have a letter from a law enforcement or govt. agency requesting demonstration of that type of firearm. The transfer cannot proceed without a demo letter, and normal folks cannot buy them

this gun is called a post may dealer sample, or post sample - it was made after may of 1986 - commonly referred to as a dealers sample. when you turn in your liscense as a MG dealer, or manufacturer, you must surrender these to the ATF.

there is also a PRE MAY dealers sample machine gun - the gun was made before the may 1986 ban - the dealers get to keep these guns after they turn in there liscenses, but these are much more expensive than post samples. Pre samples are rarer than postys.

transferable machine guns are ownable by anyone , but they had to be registered into the NFA registry before may 1986 as a transferable gun, and the taxes had to be paid on it, blah blah blah - there are SIGNIFICANTLY less transferable guns on the market, and they are available to anyone who can legally own a type 1 firearm, and if there state allows it, and if they can get there chief law enforcement officer to sign off on it - that is why these are so expensive.

post samples usually sell for the price of a parts kit plus a few hundred more in labor. if you were a liscensed MG dealer, or manufacturer, and you had a law enforcement agency request demo of a 1910 maxim, you could buy a post sample maxim for around $1000.00 - 1500.00 max
a transferable maxim?? times that by about 30

also sear guns are more expensive than registered receiver conversions - seems backwards, but, you can use the HK sear on MANY different guns by simply moving the trigger pack to another HK style gun. With a registered sear, the sear is considered the MG, not the host gun. That means you can swap your registered sear pack onto your cetme, and then onto your hk91, and then onto your semi auto MP5, and then onto your semi auto HK93, and then onto your semi auto hk21 etc etc, and have a bunch of machine guns for one price. That is why sear guns cost more than the registered receiver guns
