After a long time and against my better judgement I ordered something from Centerfire Systems. Just as I expected ,they still don't have their crap together.
I ordered five mags and a AK scope mount, two weeks later, I still don't have anything. So I contact them, oh, the scope mount you wanted is on back order, no call or email from them, I can only assume they would have never contacted me. "Would you like to wait"? "how long do you think it will take" I say.. "Well we have had them on back order for a couple of months now, and we don't know if when they are going to come in", I say no just send the mags, cancel the order for the mount.
I get the mags today, go to put them in my rifle and they won't go in, they are about 1/16 too wide, I try them in my other AK, same thing? So what's the deal?
Now I gotta sand the mags down or go through the B.S. of sending the stuff back. It will be another seven years before I order anything from them.
Here are the mags, anyone try them?

A lot of people have problems with those. Send them back. Want you want are REAL Bulgarian waffles. These fit in every AK I own.

What type Aks do you have?

I have a NoDakSpud Rec, and a Tapco Flat I bent, they are both the same.
The mag width is too large. I asked about these mags awhile ago, no one said they didn't fit. Maybe they only fit Bulgarian Rec.?

I took my SLR-95 down to the gunshop to show it off and my friend slapped a 40 rndr in my SLR. It fit looked exactly the same I don't know if it was old Bulg or new though.

I have nodakspud recievers on the three aks that I ahve built thuis far and I have not had a single problem with those mags from centerfire. I built mine using new steel mags to check size, and have not had any problems with steel or bulgy plastic mags.

i have placed a few orders with centerfire and have had no problems.received my orders within a few days and the mags i bought fit fine.sorry to hear that you have had bad luck with them.as a side note i got an email from aim surplus on 30 round steel ak mags that were possibily rusted or scratched(well used) for 9.95 each.i bought 4 and to my surprise only one had a very little area of surface rust that was taken care of with some oil and a rag.

Hmm....The only mags I like are steel mags...The ProMag plastic ones suk. The metal Hungarian, E. German, Russian, and Romanian ones I have all work fine.

If you can find them Chinese have been the best for me. Fit tight and are made well.

my buddy just got some of the plastic mags from centerfire, and sure as sh*t, only half of them fit his norinco. On my Romy builds the mags are tight, but I can get all the mags he ordered to fit in my aks. The earlier mags that I got from centerfire fit much better than this latest batch. I wonder if it was just a bad lot from Bulgaria. I bought my first batch begining of summer and have had no problems with those, unlike these new ones.

I have had no problems with Centerfire. I live about 60 miles from them and usually drive up there at times. Who is your contact person you are dealing with? I have dealt with Lois for a few years now and she is great at contacting me by phone or e-mail on my orders or new stuff coming in.

ok guys, I think I found the answer to the bulgy mags on centerfire. I was looking at j&g, who had the same mags, and they have a nice description. Read the last line in the description. Load 2 rounds to fit in gun. I did this and Damn, they all work just fine no sanding or grinding, just fits in like a glove.

Centerfire typically has some pretty good deals, but they do lack in the Customer Service Dept. I have stopped in there closet shop before and they act as if you are bugging them to buy from them in person.

Bought some of those bulgarian bullet mags from centerfire and they fit tight in my maks and sksm. Nice mags, good price imho. I like centerfire and have had good business with them. I especially like their accents when talking to them on the phone.
