Does any one have a M14 magazine that they could try to fit in the Getme or G3, just to see if it could firt in the receiver.

It should those made in the USA 30 rd mags are just M14 mags with a thing welded on the top.

If a us made M14 magazine can be used it would count for 3 parts

I will fit in the mag well of my black widow, about 1/8'' play on both sides pretty sloppy fit, I guess if one were determined enough they could make it work. But they'd ruin a perfectly good M14 mag. Wether or not it would actually feed and chamber a round, that would be another story.

I've looked at the floor plates on some of the G3 mags, seems like it would be pretty easy to fabricate one.

Fab a floor plate, an M14 spring, would give you 2 parts.

It would have to be a us made mag, but why do that when thermomolds are available. They fit and get you the three parts and do not ruin a good mag.

I tried a AR-10 mag and it did fit into the well but very sloppy and would take some severe mods to get it to lock into place

It's thermold, price varies between $60 and $20. Try Delta Force, PreBan Arms, DK Mags (on Gun Broker). I just purchased what I needed. I'm quite happy with them and used them on all my builds. Being 3 us parts it lets me keep original wood furniture and original flash hider. Now if I could just find one more us made G3 trigger I'd be happy.
