I don't exactly know why it popped into my head, but its an interesting tidbit, and a good excuse to watch a cheesy movie.
If you all didn't know, Billy Zane carries a HK based sniper rifle in the movie SNIPER. I don't know for sure if its a PSG-1 or MSG-90 and HK pro thinks its some variation of an SR-9... but like I said, its a good reason to watch a cheesy "guy" movie. "1 shot 2 kills."
Any other movies featuring the HK or Cetme line of rifles?
this may belong in general discussion, but as long as it stays related to Cetmes/HKs, it should be kosher.

Check out "Salvador" with Jim Belushi and James Woods. Real film footage of Hk's shooting students in El Salvador. Many close ups. Having been in that area it is the way things are.

Curious how the gun pictures show a clipped lower, but the close up shows a push pin lower. ;)

You know, it almost drives me crazy. I'll be watching a nice fun movie like Sahara for example. Lots of guns, funny one-liners, good music. In the middle of some random action scene I'll have to stop the movie, back up a little bit and single frame advance to make sure I caught what model guns they're using.

Lon Moer, I will bite.....
What was so infamous obout that picture?
I see a couple of M4s, an MP5K, AK47, and the muzzle of a G3 poking in from the right, but I don't see anything "infamous"......

Check out the guy in the middle with the M4. Now look at the flattop. See anything missing? No rear sight. I'm not sure if this is what he was talking about, but it's the only odd thing I noticed.

Wasn't there a guy with an HK type rifle in the beginning of the last Die hard movie? When it came out Yahoo had like the first minute or so to get you to go see the movie.

I've got that movie on dvd and I love it, even if it the story is completely ridiculous

I freeze-framed it and it looks like a Ruger AC-556 (mini-14) to me, but it is kinda blurry

I believe that is a Beretta BM-59, basically a shortened Garand that is mag
fed and in 7.62x51 cal. Sweet rifles in my opinion.
ETA, when the cops are running into the building after the first
shootout, there is a cop with a mini-14/AC 5.56 and it goes by
pretty fast. I could have swore that a cop in the hallway had
BM-59 in that shootout, maybe a scene later than the clip
shows.

The beginning of Kingdom is a little slow and dry, but the later half of the movie is really good.

bought 7 movies today (all collectors editions, so like 14 dvds worth of crap) for 60 bucks on amazon: the kingdom (i did it cause of the recommendations here) red dawn (same, and the family guy parody i saw last night reminded me) all 4 Die Hard movies and superbad. never seen the kingdom or red dawn, but i usually just buy movies, not rent, its a collection that easier and cheaper than guns (at times) :airtight:
