03 front sight blade problems

I'm have a heck of a time with the thin front sight blade. I loose it in the black and in general it's a fuzzy blur. In the field I can't get picture with any kind of wooded or dark earth back ground. I don't have the same degree of problem with the M1 sights. Anyone else have the same problem?

as i get older i noticed i had the same problem, i just dab a small amount of "white out" on it and it shows up better and when it gets dirty i just dab some more on it.
sometime i put some 2 dots on the rear sites also and just line the dots up.
it's cheap and works for me.
