Building my first cetme and really have no clue as to where to find 922r parts for it. I would appreciate any info on this you guys can give. Every place I've found has the original parts.

some g3 parts are interchangeable. Robert @ RTG Parts has a list. On my CETME I used JLD trigger, sear, and hammer. but you need to swap out the lower and whole trigger unit to G3 parts.

The point above, about g-3 parts is easier for sure. The other common parts are stocks/grip, left over for the most part by century, but g-3 us made stocks will work if you change out the recoil assembly.

This post should help you to identify the parts normally replaced for 922r compliance:
http://www.militaryfirearm.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=267
As stated above, replacing the complete fire control group with the G3 unit can get you up to 5 US made compliance parts (hammer, trigger, sear, trigger housing, pistol grip). US made charging handles are also available from black-market-parts.com
Add to that a US made receiver and you have sufficient US made parts to meet the 922r compliance.
Other US made parts are magazine followers or floorplates (if you can find them), flash hiders (check with SSwee on this board as he makes an excellent replacement).

Also mags. Thermold magazines are US made, and count for three US parts. Mag follower, body, and floor plate. I got mine at Delta Force. I'm sure other places carry them too.

Yes the thermold mags are a good source of compliance parts too, but what I don't like about them is that if you use them for compliance, then you MUST legaly use only the Thermolds in that rifle. As soon as you put a mag in the rifle without the number of US made compliance parts necessary, you have an ilegal rifle.

Thats true, but its a good place to start for someone new to this. Later, after you find more stuff you can add parts so that that does'nt happen.
