Are the Russians and all of these other East European countries still making and using corrosive? I would have thought that they would be using non-corrosive by now.

Private fuzzy, these rounds are surplus from the eighties I beleive. I imagine most of these countries are now making nato spec ammo in 5.56x45

I saw that. I was just curious to know if anyone still used and made corrosive ammo.;) I thought that I had seen surplus some time back that was produced in the late 90's or 00's that was corrosive.

From my understanding the lifespan of corrosive primers is longer than non corrosive ones. Thus if you clean the rifles after use, and have chromed bores, even in battle you have plenty of time if you do the maintance with in a reasonable amount of time.
