This was the pistol I bought to get me by until the CETME work is done. These pistols are SIG certified returns meaning they were once police or possibly military issue. The thing is flawless and I would never had guessed it was fired. Maybe a hint of wear on the barrel where the slide starts back. Unlock the slide release and the pistol will try to jump out of your hands.
One magazine had a label on it with what I presume is someone's badge number. SIG won't release any info. I would like to know who had it and let them know it's found a home.
Back to the important stuff. At 25 feet we were removing the center of paper plates at slow fire. Rapid fire stays on the plate.:party0045:
Shickled titless at the function, accuracy and looks. I need a light to put on the front since it's got the integrated rails. Just in case someone wants my stuff and I'm home! :2pistol:

:ttiwwop: Ok, I couldn't resist. So post some pictures and let's see it. The Sigs are basicall rebuilt by the armorers if there is any wear parts (Usually isn't) and certified. Excellent value in a pistol. Personal preference over the Glocks. And accurate as hell!

Note the badge number on the bottom of the magazine. The other mag doesn't have one. I also got a coupon for another free mag that I've sent off for. Nice deal, under $550.

Read a test in a gun mag where a destruction team put some sigs to THE test. Ran over them with 30 ton tactors, put rocks under them and did it again. The rocks broke and the sigs still fired. Tough guns.

I have a certified 229 and it is the BEST hand gun I have ever touched. I can't it the broad side of a barn with my Ruger P94, but I can drive tacks witht the Sig.

Id like a sig for a plinker 9mm, but...
1. Dont have the money
2. Dont have the money
and 3. If I did have enough money, Id want a pistol for range and defense, and Im sold on Glocks as defense pistols. Sigs are incredibly nice, and really sweet pieces, and that is 1 helluva deal you got on that fine one!
I wish Sig would make a hammerless DAO, and Id probably switch from Glocks.

I've had Glocks, S&W autos, Baby Eagle, Colt 1911, Springfield, etc..This is the one I have now. Of all the pistols I have ever held or fired, a captured Luger an old neighbor had fit my hand the best. The Glock fits very similar. It seems to point without aiming if that makes sense. You raise your hand and fire and are resonably close without using the sights. Add a cheap Hogue slip on grip and the thing is like "butta". David

That's the same reason I originally gravitated to Glocks... some dont like the grip angle, but they point really nicely for me, just like you described. The sigs do the same, and HK's and Springfields point low... good for me because I think the Springfield XD's are Ugly, and the hK's are too expensive...
I would definitely snag a Sig if one showed up around here for that price. They all run closer to $700 around here... even used in good shape.

I have a CPO sig 225 and a WG sig 226. I love both but the 225 is my everyday carry piece untill the little lady takes it for her self. Odd thing my sigs sights are set for 124 nato ball!
