I don't know much about the AK family, but this sounds like a good deal.

$400 for the kit with new barrel. BUT, if I had to pay for someone else to do the build, as well as for the receiver and compliance parts - is this going to work-out cheaper (or better quality) than an off-the-shelf Rommy from Vector?

the hardest part is getting vector to sell a receiver. the last i heard they were not selling any of there extra receivers.

$400 for spare parts sounds like a good deal, i may order one of them. thanks for the heads up on the kits.
