hey kev,
i have 4 1/2 months left here in iraq(praying we don't get extended). first thing i'm getting done is pouring concrete floor in my shop. it will be a better place to build than the porch where we built the ak's.

i found a better way to build the ak's you only partially press the barrel out! this made it SUPER easy. I build one more underfolder since the two you helped me with, it turned out good with perfectly smashed rivets even the long ones that go all the way through, you couldnt even tell which side of the long ones was the smashed side. Also on that nasty romy that the pin wouldnt budge from, and we couldnt get it all the way back in, i used a jig for it and used a 6 ton press and it was really easy to do! the right tools sure helped.

Ill look and see if i can find another spare G3 kit in my stuff. Ive got extras of the small bits though. maybe we could do another build?

Topeka here. Pennsylvania transplant

Payless Shoe source recently bought the company I work for , StrideRite Corp. and I will probably be traveling out to Topeka shortly. Being an eastener, how do you like it out there?

There are some places north of KC There is also a place around DeSoto if I remeber right.I belong to a shooting club in Garnett but they are not taking any new members. You can shoot as a guest if you know a member and they do have a public day.If you need any more info let me know. Can'nt believe no one has been on here for a year.
