I would like to see that... I've been kicking around an MG42project for weeks and can't decide... the receiver availability or lack of has been the deciding factor for shelving it for now.

WOW! I was able to see the pics and it looks like many hours have gone into that. Nice work.

Holy cow - many hours must have went into this. Did you use a some type of jig to keep the receiver square while you welded it up?

i got maybe 10 hours of real work. most of the time is spent drinking my beers and pondering it contruction. maybe 30 hours of that, or more. you should see the pile of beer cans, i am rich. (oregon 5 cent deposit)

it feed great and cocks perfect. i changed some features such as the buffer cams. steel blocks work better and easy to install. i need to get cracking on the firing pin soon. i also might come up with an easy fix for the barrel end bushing threaded booster holder thingy.....

Would you consider doing another one for someone if they sent you a parts kit? Just wondering as I am not capable of doing it myself. I have no shop or tools.
