That looks pretty good. How much was it?

500.00 out the door it was new. I usually buy used but, There just aren't many GP100's like that one for sale. The longer barrels you can find but the 3inchers are fairly scarce used.

If I didn't already have a Mdl 19 Smith in 2 1/2", I would get the Ruger. I think it is a stronger gun (I know it is) but just wish they would have put an adjustable on the 3". That is a nice piece and would work well for concealment.

I thought about the sights also, but it's a close quarters pistol and I think more a point and click kind of situtation weapon. I'm taking the CC course on the 12th and that was the justification for the purchase. :icon_mrgreen:

I dont know how it is in NC, but in TX, if you take the course with a SA pistol, you can carry SA or Revolver, but if you take it with Revolver, you can only carry Revolver.

I almost bought a GP100... or was it a SP101... I cant remember the exact model... But basic point. I love the feel of the Rugers, even moreso than the Smiths, and I like the cylinder release better on the Rugers.

I will definatly check into that If that's the case I will take the course with the Sig 229 as it's about the same size. Thanks for the heads up!!!! Either way I really like it. :grin2:

I've got the stnls 6" GP100 and absolutely love it. I would love to find a 3" but haven't yet. I was looking for an SP101 5 shot but was told all the cops grabbed them up. :) The cops called it a 38 with a flashbang. Here's mine. I keep it loaded with winchester silvertips. :)

Sportsmans warehouse has the sp101 here for something like 400-450 I think if I remember right... I shoulda picked one up for sure... I was torn between one american classic in the 357 revolver and another in the 45-70 lever gun.
