I am looking to get a mount and scope for my CETME (i just ordered my first rifle a few days ago). I have done some searching and I have found a mount that I like (the low pro because of my stamped receiver) with the sure way of mounting it thanks to the old forum.
The scope I am looking for is a red-dot style scope, nothing for distance but more for quick acquisition. Around 3x. I found a <a href="http://adcooptics.com/cgi-bin/storenew.pl?page=/new/product.html&setup=1&ida=26&idp=8&his=0|8&cart_id=7970275.5620">scope</a> that looks interesting.
Anyone know anything about this company?? Any recommendations?? I have about a $200 budget.

I dont believe any of those have any magnification.
My only preference for a Red Dot is that it has a small dot. The cheaper ones will be 5 moa usually (covers 5" at 100 yards) and the pricier ones are usually 3 or less.
A red dot's not a bad idea if thats all you want the rifle for is point and shoot type stuff. But I dont really like red dots due to the fact that they dont allow you to pinpoint shots really well. I prefer a low power scope with a fine reticle for that type of rifle. Maybe like a Leupold shotgun scope or something similar.
Red dot's just arent really my cup of tea, because I like my rifle to be versatile and able to shoot long distances when I want it.
and no, Ive never heard of that company, though with those prices, I assume they are decent quality. The cheaper red dots will work fine on a Cetme because of the low recoil.

This is my favorite http://www.posp.ru/pk23.html price is 145$, Best reddot I have ever used, tough as hell. Best deal out there in my opinion. 1 MOA dot. When Kalinka can get them in,they sell out in a heartbeat.

Run the other way from the ADCO stuff as it just won't take the beating that these rifles dish out. I would look at Millet as they are extremely tough and have an excellent warranty. Made here in USA. Have shot one for years.

I have a Kobra dot on my Saiga 308, works real good.
For scopes, you might try looking at Barska. They get pretty good reviews. I have a Barska 30 mm dot (3MOA) on one of my AK's and it seems to work pretty well.

I can vouch for the PK-23, have on on my Saiga-12 and its rock solid.

But for no magnafication pure battle CQB red scope, EOTECH. Kick's ass and you don't have to worry about the Parallax. If you see the target in the dot, anywhere in the screen, a gental squeeze and tango down... Sweet and low profile. Not cheap though.

I do like that Kobra. i got a cheaper version of that sort that sits on top of my G22... the different reticles are really cool, and Kobra makes a fine product.
Id like to have one of those on a scout set-up with my 45-70.

Try the ATN Ultra Sight (about $170). It has four different reticles and 11 different brightness settings. I've got it on two rifles and it works well. Of the four reticles: (1) dot, (2) circle with crosshairs, (3) crosshairs, and (4) dot in circle -- I like the last one. It looks like the pipper on a fighter's gunsight. The ATN is very quick and very accurate.

Well I ended up getting that Kalinka red dot scope. I got the low pro scope mount but I didn't mount it the sure way yet. It's low enough to see the iron sights when no scope is mounted which I like.
