vertical grip bipod

Would like to know if anyone has used the vertical grip with the built in bipod and which brand is best?

I've only seen them.

Appears to me that it only allows for support of the rifle on a level surface.

What good is this supposed to be?

I'm not much of a fan of bipods - even the "good" ones.

I'm definitely not a fan of this one.

I dont see the advantage of having your bipod that far back. It just seems like it would be less stable. Like trying to hold sight picture while on a unicycle.

I started to buy one since I wanted a handle. It was not useful at all. Very expensive for what you get.
