Gotta be a fake... they called it in the article the ".825 G&S Online Express Magnum" The dimensions they stated would place that round right between 12 and 10 gauge magnum shotgun shell size!

"Preliminary testing of the new cartridge has been conducted using a single shot, closed-breech pistol with a 10" barrel, and has yielded excellent accuracy results. 5-shot, 100 yard groups have averaged 0.25 MOA, with the largest groups measuring 0.5" and the smallest groups measuring 0.1", regardless of who on the Guns and Shooting Online staff has done the shooting."

Thanks for the post WiskeyJaR! Made my day!

How can it group smaller than the size of the bullet?

I gotta have one to compensate for my lack of substantial manhood. I can carry it around in my Bigfoot replica monster truck. All the girls will want me! Even if they don't want me after the first time. I will have to put a $2500 Swarovski optic on it so I can say I have not only the most powerful handgun but also the most expensive. We all know the more you spend, the better your shooting skills.

I'm not 100% sure but those look like those tubes they stuff T-shirts in at cabelas or as a promo at shotgun shoots etc....Might not be big enough for T-shirts....panties maybe? .825 would put it in the just under 8 bore size. (8 bore is .835")

I can't help wondering who they got to shoot the thing. And how's his wrist? And how many teeth does he have left? And does that come in an automatic? And did you notice they were hollow points? WHY?! If you shot anything with a hollow point that size, well, you wouldn't have to worry about field dressing it, would you? Hey... Maybe that's the idea...

If youi didn't mind putting out the fire you could use a blank for home defense.

Now I don't care who you are, that there is funny. Had me going for a bit till the .1 inch groups, the bullet suppose to be .825.

No thats how they measure benchrest groups I think actually. ever wonder how a .30 cal bullet can get a group of .125?

I still don't completely buy it, but FWIW, groups are supposed to measured from Center of hole to Center of hole, just as wonderwolf said. There's a reason why a 50 cal rifle CAN shoot better than half inch groups............ measuring CTC takes away the "segregation" of larger calibers. also, FWIW, instead of measuring Center to Center, its much easier to measure from say right side of hole to right side of opposite hole, or left/left... it accomplishes the same thing.

and back to subject DAMN thats a big round... any confirmation if its real or not?

the photo isn't doctored you can see the reflection of the smaller cartridges in the big'uns. However, doesn't mean the cartridges are real.

That article was probably posted on April 1. I hope I don't need to explain that date. I got a good chuckle out of reading it.

perro-i haven't heard of that law before. do you happen to know where i could look it up? it brings up a lot of questions and curiosities. is it the weapon or the round that are classified a destructive device? 12 guage shotguns are something to the tune of .70 cal if i remember correctly. even the brown bess was made in .705 and .72 i'm not disagreeing with you, just seeking info.

As far as I'm aware, Anything over .50 is a DD. With shotguns being the exceptions. ANYTHING muzzle loader is the exception. I can have a 3" field peice and be perfectly legit. Remember muzzle loaders have no barrel length req's or caliber limitations.

ok, i was wrong, anything over .50 cal is dd except shotguns - california has the .60 cal spec - i knew i read that somewhere before. it appears federally that anything over 1/2 inch bore except shot guns - see f2
