I am considering a set for my WASR-10. I was just wondering if anyone here has one of these type of stocks, and what you thought of them?http://www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?id=31a35122-f213-4b95-beb0-683b08822fdd

Yes, I have dealt with them. They make for a lightweight AK. The stock also comes in handy if you have different folks shooting, as it can adjust to each shooters preferred length of pull. I also much prefer the saw grip over the standard popsicle grip (more to grab a hold of).

I am one of those that says that everyone doesnt need to have t-6 stocks on every rifle, that said if you like the look, they seem to work. Plus it gives you a us made part for compliance. I think if you do the butt stock though you should do the whole thing.
Nalioth, is that a tapco galil fore stock on that rifle. I was wondering how well you liked it if it was. I have one at home to try with one of the folders some day I get motivated.

Nalioth, is that a tapco galil fore stock on that rifle. Yep, sorry about the crap picture, but it's dressed in Crapco from muzzle to butt. The galil style fore end works ok, there's a lot of open space in it but no metal (for heat dispersion).

This one came with the folding stock that they make and promptly broke the first time I shot it when it was under 50 degrees. It's nice to be able to adjust the pull length anytime you want, and for me the forward pistol grip just seems more comfortable with the Galil style forend, and +1 on the SAW pistol grip. I've got big hands though...

With the exception of the pistol grip,I don't care for them. It all seems a bit flimsy to me.

for heat deflection I use a strip of reflective "cloth" muffler tape on the inside of the slim fore-end on my CETME. You know the stuff with the "tinfoil like side". Works very nicely to keep the slim forend from getting too hot if it's being fired alot...as a fellow board member once said "it worked for me but your results may vary".

I have heard that Tapco plastic is not all that high quality. Breaking and melting are the two biggest complaints I know of.

naolith: Thanks for the pic!
okie shooter: I am planning on replacing all of the furniture. IMO, the T6 type stocks only looks OK on AR's and AK's, on a G3/CETME they are ugly as hell.
I looked at the TAPCO folding stocks and wasn't too impressed by them, and that was before i read what Optimus Prime posted about them. The T6 style looks a bit better to me, but still a bit......plasticky i guess.
The SAW grip and Galil forend look fine to me, i was mainly interested in how the stock would hold up to shooting and normal wear and tear.
