Guy's
not sure yet if this will surface but I am trying to get USA parts made for the Cetme & HK here is what I am trying to have made.
Cetme US hammers , triggers , disconnectors , flash hiders , trigger boxes , cocking handles , mag floor plates and followers.
HKG3/91 US hammers , triggers , sears , flash hiders , trigger boxes , cocking handles , mag floor plates and followers.
I just started this project I am meeting with the people next week that can make this stuff.
there are no promises and/or prices right now this may not ever happen.
if you guys are interested post here to see what kind of interest there is.
PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME ON THIS I WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM.
if this happens there will be enough for everyone.
thanks

Oh yeah! I would buy the U.S. Cetme parts, anything, just to have extras. A few years back on Perro's original site I suggested someone at least make magazine parts, but having a full set of U.S. made Cetme trigger box parts, the three we all should have, would sure be nice.

I would definitely be interested. I was going to make my own trigger, hammer, and sear. But if they were available to be purchased that would be one less thing that I would have to fool with. BTW, has anyone tried making their own floorplates. A guy over at weaponeer made floorplates for Suomi mags. After all, it's only sheet metal. Followers would be a different story but still doable. One of the AK sites has a tutorial on building AK's. On it he shows how to make the dies to press in the dimples on an AK receiver. Very simple. The guy that's made the floorplates is also making striker assemblies for the Suomi to use in place of a hammer and sear. Very reasonable price to I might add.
So if one fellow can make stridker, another can surely make fcg's for the Cetme. If I had a machine shop I'd be making them myself.

Betcha they could sell quite a few port buffers if they could make them for a reasonable price. They don't look too complex to make. (Easy for me to say, knowing nothing about metal fabrication.)

Interested in any CETME parts. For real, somebody needs to make port buffers. That's it, I'm going to talk to our outsource machine shop Monday!

If someone were to contract manufacture of the listed parts, there would be no problem finding a market for them. I'd probably buy 2 or 3 of each just to have extra parts around.
The easiest and cheapest part to manufacture would be magazine floorplates, as Trenches said, they are just sheet metal and should be easy to produce with the right die.

FAC (now-defunct Federal Arms Corporation) even sold US-made barrels.
What happened to the tooling for that?
In case you haven't noticed, there is a barrel shortage issue.
I wonder who "stole" all the in-the-white barrels from Century and Numrich?

You should first see what JLD is selling as there would be no need to reproduce what they are selling unless you can make it for way less.
You will want to do research on who and how many would buy them as there might be a market for G3 parts as Ohio Rapid Fire is 'planning' on making and selling G3 receivers.
Maybe ORF has or will have US parts as they DO have many G3 parts kits that they have been sitting on. My guess is that they were waiting for CIA to run out of their socalled G3's.
I could only assume that they have enough US parts to cover their number of G3 kits.
If you can get it done fast and cheap, go for it.
ORF is planning on their receivers in March (who knows what year though  )

YEP, very interested in US made 922r compliance parts for a CETME....actually several. I'll bet that the several hundred or thousand owners of CETME kits sold in the past few years are interested too. I would get the figures on how many were demilled and imported, and present that to them as well, if they are looking into what the market place numbers will be.

Hell yes I'm interested. There was a guy several months back on this forum that was talking about floor plates, and maybe followers too, but floor plates for sure that I haven't heard any more about. I hope this pans out.

Magazine floorplates and followers!!!
SW made magazine followers and CIA and SW made floorplates, so all that tooling has to be somewhere.

because I am.
Not a builder, just a shooter, but I would not mind adding 2-3 US poarts to enable me to use mags other than Thermolds for 922r. (while still retaining my nifty ModB hardware)

YO TAMBIEN! (me too)
For everyone one person that posts here there are at least 100 who are looking for US parts, but don't post (haven't found this forum or thread.)
DO US ALL A FAVOR and make sure they are marked some way to show "MADE IN USA". :America: Or at least with company name on them.
Question: Which counts as the trigger housing: the pistol grip frame (which is what i've heard) or the trigger box? I know PTR makes trigger pack boxs but does that count as a compliant part or is it just for easy assembly?
GO FOR IT!!!!
As soon as they're in the makes, start posting on all the other forums too!

the "clinton assault weapons ban" is over, but "foreign" assault weapons are still banned, hence they can't have too many foreign parts, and therefore you need a certain number of US parts to replace them
922r parts count is still VERY much a big deal

922r parts compliance is still FEDERAL LAW, and therefor while we all may agree that it is a pain in the a$$, it is still law and MUST be complied with.
Any talk of violating any law is strictly forbidden on this forum.

The trigger pack box or cage is the compliance part.
The grip frame does not count unless it has the pistol grip molded into it, and then it only counts for the pistol grip.

I'll also go in for 3 sets for the trigger parts.
I'm missing a lot of building while working in Japan....
Buying parts on the internet and sending them home for guns, computers and my motorcycle is not nearly as enjoyable as working on my guns, computers and motorcycle!
