For anyone looking for parts for their Galil kits. Ace Ltd has the pistol grip. Airzonia Response System makes a Galil Muzzle Break, (He's out right now and looking for a new machinst to make them for him, You have to buy a G2 double hook trigger set and dremal it to match the Galil. Or use an single with AK spring sets... With the US receiver, you only need three more US parts on a Galil for compliance for a total of 4, Per Mark, the owner of ARS. ARS site has some nice info on the builds. At http://www.arizonaresponsesystems.com/smith/ak/pagesmithak.htm

Century sell them too. Centerfire sells a package with the recerver also. The receiver is marked Century but is made by ORF. The kits they are all selling are the AR kit. You can pick-up the parts to convert it to the ARM. (Bipod Model)

The Galil receriver is milled. The barrel in the kit is in the white. The gas port needs to be drilled, the barrel indexed and the chamber chamfered for the ejection mouth clearence. ARS Gun Plummers notes has a nice section on a Galil build. He's also the one selling the muzzle brake.

In all fairness, ARS should update that Galil build again. Those were the first batch of receivers from 2005 and the ones on the market now are awesome. I built a kit from a Centerfire kit and everything lined up 100%. No issues at all and no terrible machinework inside the receiver. The other receivers that I looked at were the same as far as cosmetics. My barrel time perfect as well.
thanks,
Ron

Thanks for the post Ron!!! I was just waiting on my last compliance part, the ARS muzzle device, but after reading your post, I'm putting it all together and see how it looks. I got the Centerfire AR kit too. But I changed out the barrel & frontend for an ARM build. I'll post pictures when it's together!!
