I have a problem.. I have a C*ntury arms cast cetme receiver and it will not accept the cocking tube.. I tried to put the cocking tube from my cetme parts kit in it and the tube sleeve wont slide down in it. The trunnion is a really tight fit too.. How can I fix this?

Thanks

Just a comment, have you removed all of the old receiver from the parts and cleaned up the cocking tube and trunion?

And then buff the areas that are high with a sanding arbor (many pieces of crocas cloth attached to an arbor with a shaft) Lowe's or hardware store possibly! It still should be snug but not so tight you cannot get it appart for adjusting your rail to trunion area for alignment before welding!

Also make sure that the cocking tube sleeve has not gotten bent out of round.

Everything was snug on my my stainless cast CETME receiver I wrapped sandpaper around a dowel and sanded the inside a bit and also the outside of the trunnion and cocking tube to make it fit

I finally got it... The trunnion was the key to getting it in... I put the trunnion in first and there it went :thanks:
